As mentioned in yesterday's post we spent last weekend in Boise. It was jam packed. What initially got me up to Idaho was Judge Hoff, or Renae as I am now allowed to call her, was having a birthday party on Saturday night to celebrate her 59 1/2 birthday. (A little hard in February to have an outdoor pool party...., at least if Idaho is your state of residence.)
In addition Arianne was there for the weekend because Keith's brother and his wife were blessing their baby. So the kids and I got the added bonus of seeing Keith, Arianne, Kallie and Charlotte.
And of course we wanted to see and spend time with some of our favorite people in Boise, the Tanners. Here are just a few highlights....
Saturday morning Darrin, had to take his scouts to do a flag ceremony for an event at Julia Davis Park. Mark joined them. On the way to the event, Darrin was teaching Issac how to do the color guard, and Mark or course took in every word. Probably the only pre-cub scout in America who can do the color guard. So next time you needs some flags presented, call Mark, or if you just want a good laugh, ask him to tell you how to present the colors......
Yep, they went to a skate park.
Mark wanted to work on learning how to ride a bike. Darrin is telling him to keep his elbows up, face forward, and pay attention to where he is going. It worked, kind of......
Mark loved it. When I asked him what his favorite part of the whole weekend was, it was riding a bike.
Lauren mastered riding a two wheel on her own. Probably helped the bike was her size, as opposed to the one she has at home....its a little small. Hey who needs a bike when you have a yellow battery powered Corvette convertible?
Saturday night a fort was made.
Sleeping occurred in the fort.
These two love their matching shirts. They really like that they BOTH purchased the matching shirts BEFORE they knew each other, proving to both of them that they have excellent taste.
Sunday, before dinner.....
Sunday, after dinner.
Ummm...here is what I think about this picture......
there is a whole lot of blond going on,
there is a whole lot of blue eyes going on, and
there are a whole lot of kids......yikes!
