Recently, one of Rick's good friends had a birthday, and Rick enlisted my help to design and decorate a cake in the shape of a tennis racket, which is Eddie's life passion.
Here is the cake, it is life size to an actual racket, we used Lauren's as a pattern.

We put a fondant ring around the edge to give the cake some dimension, and then painted the fondant with black food coloring. We added silver pearl dust and by the time we were done it really looked metallic.
The finished cake. The birthday boy was quite pleased, and the cake was delicious to boot.
