The Nutcracker

This last summer Rick went to a fundraiser and one of the items being auctioned off was a Christmas package for the Nutcracker. The package included four box seat tickets, a tour of the back stage during intermission, the opportunity to sit back stage during the second act, and admission to the Sugar Plum party after the performance. Rick knew Lauren needed this package, so he bid and won, and our little dancer was going to get the opportunity of a life time.


We asked Grandma and Courtney to join us and believe it or not they willingly agreed! It was girls day out!

This is Linda, Lauren and myself on stage for the Sugar Plum Party after the performance. We did go back stage during intermission, and sat there for the second act, however the costumes, and sets are copyrighted, so we were not allowed to take any pictures back stage. It was an incredible experience. We could not see much of the dancing on stage, but just watching the dancers warm up and go on and come off stage was intriguing.

Lauren had a great day, and so did I!

Even Grandma and Courtney agreed it was a once in a life time experience.

All the fun and excitement wore Lauren out and she fell asleep on our way home. Lucky for her buddy and her doggie were in the car, along for the ride.
